Terms of Service
Effective date: June 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Squiggle, a real-time multiplayer draw-and-guess game operated by Compubility, LLC (“Squiggle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, joining a room, or otherwise using Squiggle, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Squiggle.
2. Eligibility & the absence of parental controls
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Squiggle. Squiggle is built for a general audience and currently has no parental controls and no age verification.Public matches allow strangers to draw and chat in real time. If you are a parent or guardian, please understand that supervision is the only way to manage a minor’s experience until parental controls are introduced.
3. Accounts
You may play as a guest with an anonymous account or sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You agree to choose a username and avatar that are not offensive, impersonating, or infringing. We may reclaim or change usernames that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
When using Squiggle, you agree that you will not:
- Draw, type, or otherwise share content that is obscene, pornographic, hateful, harassing, threatening, or illegal.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate other players.
- Attempt to evade the profanity filter or other moderation, or exploit bugs, cheat, or use bots to gain an unfair advantage.
- Disrupt the service, its servers, or other players’ experience.
- Farm referrals, payments, or rewards through fake accounts or other manipulation.
- Use Squiggle for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
5. Drawing obscenities & account suspension
Drawing obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise grossly inappropriate content — especially in public matches — is grounds for immediate account suspension or termination. Because the canvas is a free-form drawing surface, it cannot be automatically filtered the way chat is. We rely on player reports and review to enforce this rule. Drawing obscenities where other players (who may include minors, since we have no age verification) can see them is a serious violation. We may suspend or permanently ban offending accounts at our discretion, with or without prior notice, and we may remove any content that violates these Terms.
Note that chat and guesses are run through an automated profanity filter before they are shown to others; attempting to defeat that filter is itself a violation.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the drawings and messages you create. By sharing content in Squiggle, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the game (for example, broadcasting your strokes to other players in your room and storing game records). You are solely responsible for the content you create and confirm you have the right to share it.
7. Purchases & the Support Pack
Squiggle offers an optional one-time purchase, the Support Pack, which grants permanent cosmetic perks (such as a supporter badge, an avatar ring, and custom drawing palettes). Payments are processed by Stripe. The Support Pack is a cosmetic entitlement and does not change the core rules of the game.
Because the Support Pack delivers a digital entitlement immediately, all sales are final and non-refundable except where required by law. We may change the perks included over time, but perks you have already purchased will remain available to you. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, you may lose access to purchased perks without a refund.
8. Moderation & enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other players or the service. We may also cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
9. Service availability
Squiggle is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Game state is held in memory on our realtime server, so a server restart will end in-progress rooms and require players to rejoin. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and may modify or discontinue features at any time.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squiggle and Compubility, LLC disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for user-generated content created by other players. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Squiggle will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of Squiggle after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
